„Computer’s new realm“
Digitale Kultur e.V. presents itself from March 18th to 24th at the world´s largest IT fair, the CeBIT in Hannover. As co-exhibitor on Advanced Cyber Entertainment GmbH 4000 sqm display in hall 16 Digitale Kultur e.V. presents the demoscene, a worldwide community of about 10000 active computer artists.
In cooperation with Intel Germanythe association´s display aims at providing an insight into the programming and artistic approaches to computers by presenting recent productions from the digital art and demoscene.
Simultaneously with its CeBIT presentation Digitale Kultur e.V. will launch the internet portal demoscene.info that offers substantial information on the demoscene to interested visitors.
“In the vicinity of the World Cyber Games and the ASUS-WWCL Finals Season #5 we feel the need to show that young people are not only interested in gaming but also in being creative”, says Tobias Heim -member of Digitale Kultur e.V. executive comittee. In additon, the display will act as meeting point for demosceners among CeBIT visitors, and facilitate a direct exchange between active members and interested visitors.
