As one of the oldest demoparties in Germany, Evoke is an integral part of the demoscene. The Digitale Kultur e.V. was founded in 2003 to take over the organization of the event.

Evoke 2025
From August 15-17, 2025, the AbenteuerHallenKALK in Cologne will serve as the epicenter of the international "demoscene." At the 26th edition of Evoke, the traditional festival for digital art and culture, around 500 demo artists from around the world will present their latest audiovisual works – a vibrant tradition recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Festival for digital art & culture celebrates its anniversary
From 16 to 18 August 2024 the international demoscene will meet for the 25th edition of Evoke, the festival for digital art and culture in Cologne, Germany. In the AbenteuerHallenKALK location, up to 500 artists from all over the world will be presenting new audiovisual productions to mark the anniversary. The demoscene and its works have been recognised as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO since 2021.
Evoke 2023
From 28 to 30 July, the international demoscene will gather at Evoke 2023, the festival for digital culture in Cologne, Germany. In the AbenteuerHallenKALK location, up to 500 artists from all over the world will present new audiovisual productions. The Cologne Summer experience, enjoyed by many for more than 20 years, is finally back for another edition! In AbenteuerHallenKALK the demoscene gathers to celebrate Demos, Intros and Wilds and everything else that excites the Demoscene.
